Ipamorelin is a growth hormone secretagogue from the GHRP class (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides). This is a third generation GHRP. It was developed alongside a series of other modified derivatives of a first generation GHRP. Like other GHRPs, ipamorelin binds and activates growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHSRIa). This supports the pulsatile release of growth hormone, and in turn potentially IGF-1. As a stimulator of GH release, ipamorelin appears to be moderately potent. It is stronger than GHRP-6, but less effective than GHRP-2. However, it does have unique properties regarding selectivity that make this drug of interest, discussed below. In the fitness community, ipamorelin is most often used for the support of muscle growth and fat loss. Ipamorelin is a solid option when looking for a side effect friendly natural growth hormone increasing agent. Along with powerful growth hormone releasing abilities, Ipamorelin is also one of the longest lasting growth hormone peptides available. The release of the hormone isn't an instant spike followed by a rapid falloff point but instead a slow steady release that is more natural to the body.

About Ipamorelin
Ipamorelin is highly selective for the stimulation of growth hormone release. This means minimal spillover effects on other systems. For starters, ipamorelin has been shown to only slightly increase ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) and cortisol levels. These increases are far less notable than with the non-selective GHRPs to come before it, and no more in intensity than the natural hormone GHRH. Further, this effect does not appear to be dose dependent. Related side effects are unlikely. Further, ipamorelin appears to have negligible effect on appetite. Drugs of the GHRP class often mimic ghrelin's tendency to strongly stimulate hunger, which can be problematic while dieting. This makes ipamorelin more practical for this purpose.

Ipamorelin is a GHRP (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide) that is considered one of the most side effect friendly of the GHRP hormones.

Ipamorelin s very similar to GHRP-6 in that it increases ghrelin and targets a specific growth hormone pulse. However, unlike GHRP-6 there doesn't appear to be an increase in hunger that often exists with GHRP-6.

Unlike many other growth hormone peptides such as Hexarelin, there doesn't appear to be a strong breach of desensitization. This means there is no point where a dose doesn't improve natural growth hormone secretion.

Ipamorelin effects
The effects of Ipamorelin are simple, to increase natural growth hormone production in the body. Increased levels of growth hormone will improve the metabolism thereby giving the individual a greater ability to burn fat or maintain a suitable fat level when trying to grow.

More importantly, elevated growth hormone levels, help with recovery perhaps more than anything else. Whether we are bulking or cutting it is in the recovery stage that we improve. Recovery helps us build new lean tissue and it helps protect our existing lean tissue.

Most Ipamorelin users should also find sleep is deeper and more efficient. Growth hormone affects nearly all parts of the body from muscle to the skeletal structure, nervous system, skin and even hair.

Ipamorelin administration
Ipamorelin is supplied in dry powder form and is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted it needs to be kept refrigerated at all times.

Ipamorelin can be injected intramuscularly (in the muscle) or subcutaneously (under the skin). Most will find subcutaneously the easiest since the medication is normally administered 2-3 times per day. A small insulin syringe will suffice.

Dosing ranges for Ipamorelin normally fall in the 200-300mcg with a frequency of 2-3 times per day. Many users will combine this with other Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones (GHRH) in order to get the best results. Eight weeks of use is the bare minimum to get anything out of it with 12 weeks being the preferred minimum. It can also be used for indefinite periods of time.

Ipamorelin side effects
Ipamorelin is one of the friendliest growth hormone medications on the market. Ipamorelin is not an anabolic steroid, thus side effects of Ipamorelin are not anabolic steroid related.

Common side effects to ipamorelin include flushing, sweating, headache, increased Gl motility, and sleepiness. Also frequently reported are adverse effects typically associated with other types of growth hormone therapy, such as water retention (edema), joint pain (arthralgias), carpal tunnel syndrome, and numbness or tingling in the extremities. Note that the incidence of side effects tends to be lower with GHRP therapy as compared to traditional hGH. This is because GH/IGF-1 release is subject to endogenous synthesis, and as such the drug is less amenable to overdosing.

The subcutaneous administration of this drug may cause redness, itching, pain, or lumps at the site of injection. Injection site redness and discomfort is sometimes reported with intramuscular injection as well.

Ipamorelin may reduce insulin sensitivity and raise blood sugar levels. This may occur in individuals without preexisting diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance.

There are no estrogenic side effects of Ipamorelin. Gynecomastia and water retention cannot occur. However, slight water retention can occur in early stages.

There are no androgenic side effects of Ipamorelin, Acne, hair loss or virilization symptoms in women does not occur.

There are no known cardiovascular side effects of Ipamorelin. Many users report improved cardiovascular health.

Ipamorelin will not suppress natural testosterone production.

Ipamorelin is not toxic to the liver at any dose.

Although not highly common, possible side effects of Ipamorelin include:

- Light headed (diet adjustments may help)
- Headache (diet adjustments may help)
- Sore injected area (injection rotation and finding new areas to inject may help)
- Increased levels of prolactin (very rare)
